Dinner in Colmar, France

After exploring Colmar and Eguisheim all afternoon, it was back to our hotel for a couple of hours to relax before dinner. We had made a reservation at Restaurant La Romantica for Seven O’Clock, which allowed plenty of time for us to freshen up and take a leisurely walk around before dinner. To make the night even more special, we both dressed up for the occasion. After all how often would we be in France enjoying a romantic dinner? I wore a petite floral printed dress in navy with a gorgeous pair of deep pink tie heels. Philipp looked like a dream in a white linen suit jacket and french blue linen button-down.

By the time we made our way back by the hotel to head towards the restaurant, Philipp’s parents were already waiting for us outside the hotel. The four of us continued the five minute walk together all anticipating a good meal. We didn’t wait but a few moments after arriving before we were guided to our table for four in a secluded little spot near the back. It was perfect. With drinks in hand, we toasted to a great evening with family.

The overall setting of the restaurant was special, the food was delicious, and the company was even better. We enjoyed every last bite of our Italian dishes and sat there talking for what seemed like only an hour or two. Before we knew it, three hours flew by without us even realizing it. It was time to call it a night and head back to the hotel to get some shut eye for the next day. We had two more French villages to see and we better be rested before our last day of exploring.
