A Few New Beauty Buys

When it comes to beauty, I am definitely a creature of habit. This means I typically find products that I love and that work for my skin and stick to those for a long time. Although lately I have been in the mood for trying new things. Over the past few weeks, I have accumulated a few new beauty buys that I wanted to share with you guys in case you too are feeling inspired to add something new to your beauty routine.

I love a colorful lip so when I saw the Dior lip tatoo in natural pink I had to try it! The bright pink shade is perfect for Summer. A few swipes of this and I turn my everyday makeup into an evening look in seconds. Plus it is buildable so I can control the intensity depending on the occasion.

In order to keep my lips feeling and looking healthy, I was in search of a lip balm. Since I usually wear a neutral on my lips for work and the everyday, I was hoping to find a lip balm with a hint of color. I spotted the Fresh counter with rows of different color choices and opted for the Sugar Lip Treatment in Rosé. I ended up loving it so much I don’t leave the house without it. Not only does it leave my lips feeling hydrated, it also includes SPF 15 to keep my lips protected.

Perfume has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a little girl, after an evening bath my mom would delicately spritz me with a scent as part of our night time routine. There are times when I smell a perfume and the aroma instantly takes me back to those nights in my pajamas getting ready for bed. I appreciate how scents can do that. Whilst living in Germany, I would frequent the Byredo counter enticed by a scent they call Bal D’ Afrique. It is unlike any other scent I own. Although it contains splashes of citrus, the warm undertones steal the show. On our last trip to Europe, I knew I wanted to finally treat myself to a new scent and this one the perfect choice. Now when I smell it, I will be taken back to memories of our trip.

Doing my nails is something I use to love and would change almost every week! I would do fun designs and bright colors, but have been keeping my nails natural for a couple of years now. I felt inspired to begin painting my nails again when I saw these two bright summer shades at the airport in duty free. They just scream summer fun! The pink shade is called neon rose and the blue color is named Splash. I think nail painting will be on the weekend to do list.

Then there’s the eyes. I mentioned my favorite mascara and eyelash curler in this post which help my lashes look longer and my eyes look bigger. I love those products and wanted to take my eyelash game to the next level. I was debating over a few different eyelash treatments but finally decided on the Peter Thomas Roth Lashes to Die For since I already use and love his skincare products. I have been using it every night for about two weeks and so far so good.

  1. Firstly, your pictures are as stunning as ever <3. Secondly, I have heard such great things about the Dior Lip Tattoos, I think I might bite the bullet and give them a try! And lastly, the Fresh Lip Balm is one of my all-time FAVORITES!
