Picnic in the Park

With Spring coming to an end and the first day of Summer just around the corner, we thought it would be the perfect time to spend the day outdoors before it gets too hot to enjoy. We packed a picnic basket full with some of our favorite snacks and headed to the park where we found a quiet spot hidden from the sun. It was the perfect place to spread our blankets and unpack our basket full of goods, which included a fresh baguette and brie for spreading, homemade hummus (made with love by Philipp) with baked pita, and of course a few sweet options. We decided on vanilla pudding we stored in these mini jars, Key Lime tarts from our local bakery, and some fresh fruits.

No picnic is complete without a picnic basket. There are so many options and I wish I could own them all from traditional, Specialty, Romantic, and even a heart shaped version. From all shapes and sizes, these are the perfect summer accessory when packing small bites for outdoor activities like enjoying a picnic under a shady tree with family and friends at a nearby park or garden. Don’t forget to add a wooden cutting board to display cheeses and charcuterie!

As soon as I spotted this Gal Meets Glam Collection dress in pink, I knew it would be perfect for our picnic in the park. I love how easy it is to wear for a casual day out but can be dressed up for a summer wedding with a pair of heels like these knotted bow heeled mules I found at Target. The soft purple and bow detail paired like a dream with the pink hue of the dress and also added a seamless feminine look from head to toe. The look was completed by a pink pair of sunnies and a basket bag that could act like a mini picnic basket if need be. I can just imagine filing it with croissants and cheese galore, picking up a nice bottle of wine, and finding a spot along the Seine in Paris to enjoy it all!
