The Classic Trench Coat

A few weeks ago I bought this classic trench coat and am finally getting the chance to wear it now that the weather is cooling down a bit. A classic trench had been on my wish list for a while so I was on the hunt as soon as fall collections were in stores. I found a few different styles ( like this , this, or this one) all at Club Monaco but fell in love with this style instantly. The color was perfect for my olive skin tone and it was just what I had envisioned.

There are a few fall basics I think every gal should own including a blazer, leather jacket, and of course the perfect trench. Adding a trench coat can refine a simple look in seconds. It adds an element of sophistication whilst maintaining that effortless look everyone strives for, which is why I never regret splurging on items that have that affect.

I knew the cool weather wouldn’t last throughout the afternoon so I wore a light ruffled top I purchased from Ann Taylor around this time last year with my favorite Jamie jeans and some pink ballerina flats . The bag is actually my favorite part of this look. I saw it at an Antique store and knew it had to come home with me.
