We are currently in the process of planning for our next trip to Europe which we will be taking in a few months time. If you didn’t know, Philipp (my husband) is German and we actually met when he came to the United Stated to study for college. After graduating, we moved to Germany together and lived there for two years which was both the hardest and most rewarding experience. With that being said Germany feels like my second home and I adore our trips there. Not only do we get to see all of P’s family but we also try to travel as much as possible in the short time we get to visit. We would love to visit France this time around. Although we’ve been to Paris a couple of times, it is still always one of our top cities to visit. We love walking around the city admiring all of the grandiose architecture and enjoying one of our many favorite French delicacies such as Crêpes, macarons, and obviously the croissants! Every time we leave we feel inspired and full of creative juices. It is truly a timeless city.
After all the talk of Paris, I felt inspired to piece together the most Parisian look in my closet. It all began with an emerald green beret like this one that I was given from a kind woman at our local antique shop where we frequent often. You know, the same shop where I bought one of my favorite bags worn here and here. Everything pieced together from there. The weather was chilly and called for a coat so I picked this tweed one (similar here and here) I had been excited to wear for the longest time then added a camel scarf (like here) for extra warmth.
When I think of Paris I think of upholstered furniture made of luxurious fabrics like silks and velvets so I wore navy velvet leggings like these which were one of my favorite and most worn clothing items this season. I was going for the effortless Parisian street style look so I opted for black sneakers (almost identical here ) and my favorite souvenir from Paris – my CÉLINE nano.
I guess I was excited for our Parisian inspired day because I ended up rising before the sun! I happily scooted out of bed and began getting ready. We got dressed and headed straight to breakfast at this little cafe I had eyed on our previous trips to Senoia. The green awning reminded me of Cafes in Paris, specifically Café de Flore so of course I wanted to try it out. We enjoyed a nice breakfast and perused around the area a bit. It was nice with no one else around. It was still early so the main street was pretty much ours for the time being until it starting raining. We rushed to the car and finished the day off with errands and a nice date night at home enjoying pizzas and wine.
